I have also tried deleting most of my steam folder to get steam to re-download most of it again but that also did not fix the issue. Msvcr100 Dll 2017 .Exe In TheWhen I try to launch the game directly from the Torchlight 2.exe in the Torchlight 2 steam folder, I get the error The code execution cannot proceed because MSVCR100.dll was not found. Here is the important part: Originally posted by techadvisor: Programs and applications often require other files to be present on your computer, but sometimes this isnt the case. DLL stands for Dynamic Link Library and these files are used by many programs including games. MSVCR100.DLL is a Microsoft Visual C file and is required by applications which were made with Visual C. This includes many apps, including games, media players and more. Msvcr100 Dll 2017 Update From MicrosoftHow to install msvcr100.dll The official way to install the file is to get the Visual C update from Microsoft. It includes both the 32-bit and 64-bit versions, so you dont need to know which version of Windows your computer has. Have to re download those files from Microsoft themselves at their site. The weird thing is, I already had VC 2017 but when I tried running that I did not receive MSVCR100.dll. Only when I ran VC 2010 that I found in the Torchlight 2 steam install folder did I finally get MSVCR100.dll fixing the crash on startup. ![]() Thanks again. EDIT: The real problem here is not the fact I needed to get MSVCR100.dll from MS. ![]() Otherwise it will not install MSVCR100.dll and the game will crash on startup.
